PRIVACY
POLICY
Last updated: April 10, 2026
StreetDrop (“StreetDrop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information. We comply with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act(PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Who we are
StreetDrop is a door hanger and flyer distribution service based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We design, print, and deliver promotional materials directly to residential properties on behalf of local businesses. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at info@streetdrop.ca.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information directly from you when you interact with our website, request a quote, book a campaign, or contact us. The categories include:
- Contact details— name, business name, email, phone number, mailing address.
- Campaign details— the zones, page sizes, durations, and artwork you submit when booking a distribution campaign.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card number on our servers.
- Identity and signature data — the typed legal name and drawn signature you provide when accepting a service agreement.
- Technical data— browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, and referrer, collected through standard server logs and cookies.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes.
- Schedule, deliver, and verify your distribution campaigns (including GPS-tracked routing and proof-of-delivery photos).
- Process payments and issue invoices and receipts.
- Send you transactional emails (booking confirmations, delivery updates, receipts, contracts).
- Maintain legal records of signed service agreements.
- Improve our website, services, and customer experience.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests.
4. Who we share your information with
We share your personal information only as needed to deliver our services:
- Print partners— to produce your physical door hangers and flyers.
- Distribution couriers— to plan routes and verify deliveries.
- Stripe— for secure payment processing.
- Email and infrastructure providers — including Resend, Firebase, and Netlify, for sending transactional email and hosting your data.
- Government and legal bodies— if required by law, court order, or to defend our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising on other platforms.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies to keep your session active and remember your booking progress (we autosave a draft of your quote in your browser's local storage so you don't lose it). We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use the site, but we do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features of the site may not work properly if you do.
6. How we protect your information
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit, encrypted storage at rest, restricted access for authorized staff only, and regular review of our security practices. Files you upload with your booking are stored on Firebase with 90-day signed URL access. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration of your data.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Booking and contract records are retained for at least seven (7) years for tax and legal compliance under Canadian law. You can request earlier deletion of marketing-related data at any time by emailing us.
8. Your rights
Under Alberta PIPA and Canadian PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdraw consent for our use of your information (where consent is the basis for processing). Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to deliver services.
- Request deletion of personal information we no longer need to retain by law.
- File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@streetdrop.ca with your request. We'll respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Our services are designed for businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or a clear notice on our website.
